R.I.P.
John Hunt

John Hunt, long-time Director of Music and organist of St Luke's, died peacefully at 1.15pm on Tuesday 13th May in Valewood Nursing Home, Haslemere after a year of protracted ill-health.
His Requiem Mass and funeral will take place from St Luke's Church, on Saturday 31st May, commencing at 11.30am.
May John's faithful witness and service be rewarded with rest eternal.

Following an extensive consultation with young families the Parish is changing how Sunday School and Family Services are organised. The Sunday School will now run for a slightly longer period during the 10.30am Sunday Mass to allow greater involvement in activities and singing preparation for future Family Services.

The Family Service will now take place on specific dates, roughly one each half-term, and will focus on a particular theme arising from the Church Year. So our first new style Family Service will be Pentecost, Sunday 11 May. Full details on Family Service dates and the ever popular Teddy Bears Service can be found on the Diary page.

If you’re looking for a church to call ‘home’ we hope you’ll find a place with us at Saint Luke's.

We’re a diverse collection of people. Some of us have been worshipping here for many years and some of us are newcomers; some of us are life-long Anglicans and some of us come from other traditions; some of us live right here in Canbury, North Kingston and some of us live as far away as Wimbledon, Richmond, Surbiton, Tolworth or Guildford.

The foundation stone of our church was laid in 1880 and Saint Luke’s is very much part of the social fabric of Kingston. The doors are open throughout the day, seven days a week and all through the year. Candles burning in the candle stands and entries in our visitor’s book show that, for many folk, this is a quiet and welcoming place for prayer or meditation.
If you’re worshipping with us you’ll find an outline of the service on the service sheet handed to you at the door
